FUTURE BREAD | food design project

about bread

bread has a very important place in a human diet. human eats a daily average 150-500 g. of bread (lithuania ~ 300 g). this is one of the most important foods to fit most of the body's energy needs. rye and wheat bread has all the necessary basic nutrients wheat are versatile plants that can be grown in any environment. grain does not require much effort to store and they can be easily converted into flour, to make different types of food products

wheat genome improvement is very important, because of food security and the future of sustainable agriculture development, taking into account the context of climate change. when the climate is changing most of the plants needs to be adapted to grow and be harvested at a given temperature. another important future
factor is population growth. for this reason, food shortage in the future will be very likely

future bread

bread is not harmful to the environment. this is one of the most environmentally friendly food products, so in order to minimize environmental pollution, it will be mostly used in the future.

the future bread should be universal - many different products from the same raw materials. a new wheat genome, which allows wheat growing in various climate conditions, will be also important in the future. because of the growing population, we will need to feed more people from a smaller quantity of the product

future bread idea is based on a growing population and a larger amount of food needs. using organic food waste, like carrot or apple pulp, remaining after the juice production process, it is possible to create new food products, in this case, carrot bread. this is the future bread because its production requires less flour - it is possible to bake more bread from the same amount of flour. likewise, because of its components, bread has more vitamins from carrots, or other fruit and vegetable

in the future, we will seek not to waste food and organic materials, but find the best possible solutions to use it and adapt to the food industry. this future bread concept is suitable for a different food industry companies cooperation, cafes, and restaurants, as well as to bake that kind of bread at home, using unused fruit and vegetable waste

recipe

in order to make future bread at home, you will need:

3 cups of flour,
1 teaspoon of baking soda or baking powder,
1 cup of sugar,
1 teaspoon of salt, cinnamon, and allspice,
a freckle of vegetable oil,
3 cups of carrot pulp (or other fruit or vegetable pulp)

everything must be thoroughly mixed and put into the baking form. bake it for about 1 hour at 180 ° C. when the bread is baked, cool it and remove from the baking form

using leftovers from the juice production process, we will be able to cut down the wastage of raw materials in the future, and customized non-waste production cycle in the food industry
